A hammerhead arrow looks like a regular arrow except for the head. Instead of a bladed tip, it has a blunt hammer head shaped iron head.

These arrows are a recent development of the Padashan Empire. The formula is now known to several wizards and arcane guilds. The cost and manufacturing requirements have kept them relatively rare. However, they have proven very effective in many battles.

When this arrow is fired, the hammerhead shaped tip enlarges rapidly as it flies. It will become the size and weight of an anvil and delivers a colossal punch upon impact. It can kill an armored knight with one shot and has been known to knock a small giant of his feet. While designed for battle, it has many functions. A hammerhead arrow will easily blow a door of its hinges or punch a hole through a stone wall. Hammerhead arrows have been known to breach curtain walls and castle gates.
